* WHAT…Elevated surf of 3 to 6 feet with sets to 7 feet along Orange County beaches. Strong longshore currents and surf 3 to 5 feet along San Diego County beaches. * WHERE…San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal Areas. * WHEN…Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS…Strong rip currents for all beaches will create hazardous swimming conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The elevated surf is driven by a southerly swell (190 degrees) at 3 feet with a period of 16-18 seconds. Both swell and surf will begin to gradually lower Tuesday.

* WHAT…Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of north central Kansas, including the following counties, Jewell and Mitchell. * WHEN…Until 400 AM CDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1248 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible over parts of the area as storms slowly move southward.
