At 809 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Cotopaxi, or 54 miles southwest of Colorado Springs, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Cotopaxi and Hillside.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of east Tennessee, including the following county, Knox. * WHEN…Until 1215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1008 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area.
