* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…Northwestern Elbert, western Arapahoe and northeastern Douglas counties. * WHEN…Until 1000 PM MDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 816 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Southern Denver, Aurora, Centennial, northeastern Highlands Ranch, northwestern Parker, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree, Arapahoe Park, Buckley SFB, Foxfield and Cherry Creek Reservoir.

At 914 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Clayton to 6 miles northeast of Holloway to 9 miles northwest of Flatwoods. Movement was south at 15 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Alexandria, Pineville, Boyce, Alexandria International Airport, Effie, Lena, Ball, Colfax, Tioga, Timber Trails, Hutton, Esler Regional Airport, Flatwoods, Otis, Lake Ophelia National Wildlife Refuge, Kingsville, Sieper, Poland, Kolin, and Ruby.
