At 1210 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles west of Rawhide Buttes, or 15 miles southwest of Lusk, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Rawhide Buttes and Jay Em.

Life-threatening rip currents are likely for all people entering the surf zone. Anyone visiting the beaches should stay out of the surf. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
