Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. – This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers… New River, Black Canyon, Ash Creek, Big Bug Creek, Black Canyon Creek, Agua Fria River. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include… Chickasha, Tuttle, Minco, Verden, Amber, Pocasset, and Lake Chickasha.

At 712 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Salt River Indian Community, or near Fountain Hills, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD…Penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Mesa, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, Sugarloaf Mountain, Granite Reef Dam, McDowell Mountain Park, Salt River Indian Community, Rio Verde, Goldfield Ranch, and Fort McDowell. This includes the following highways… AZ Route 87 between mile markers 179 and 194, and near mile marker 206. AZ Route 202 between mile markers 15 and 21. AZ Route 101 between mile markers 39 and 47.

Regional observations indicate patchy freezing fog across Jefferson County this evening, particularly the northern and central portions of the county including the Watertown Metro area. This may result in slippery surfaces, black ice on area roads, and sharply reduced visibilities. The freezing fog is expected to persist through at least midnight. If you will be traveling in the area tonight, be sure to slow down, be prepared for areas of black ice, and rapidly changing visibilities.
