Just 17 minutes ago, a 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Rhodes, Dodecanese, South Aegean, Greece. The tremor was recorded early evening on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, at 7:48 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 10. km below the surface.
The event was filed by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the Kandilli Oservatory and Earthquake Research Institute in Istanbul (KOERI-RETMC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.8 earthquake. Other agencies reporting the same quake include Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) at magnitude 3.8, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) at magnitude 3.8, The Seismological Laboratory of the University of Athens (UOA) at magnitude 3.5, the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake at magnitude 3.8, and The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Geophysical Lab. (AUTH) at magnitude 3.6.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE…Hamilton and Northern Herkimer Counties. * WHEN…From 4 PM Thursday to 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS…Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The lake effect snow band will set up across areas along and north of Route 28 late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening before slowly dropping southward Thursday night into Friday morning. Additional upslope snow showers will continue on Friday before tapering off Friday night.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The lake effect band is expected to drop south into southern Herkimer County late Thursday night or Friday morning. It will then settle near or south of the Thruway Friday afternoon and night.
