* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Concho, Kimble, McCulloch, Menard and Sutton. * WHEN…Until 1000 PM CST Thursday. * IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several structures are flooded and some sand bagging operations are continuing. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. At 402 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles northwest of Afton to 3 miles southeast of Dickens to 11 miles south of Spur. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Spur, Dickens, Girard, Dumont, Finney, Delwin, Afton, and Roaring Springs.
