* WHAT….Waves 6 to 9 feet, with a wave period of 11 to 14 seconds. * WHERE…Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties. * WHEN…Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS…Rip currents and sneaker waves will lead to dangerous beach conditions. Some minor beach erosion is possible. Pedestrians and motorists should use caution along shorelines. Large waves can present a danger to people on rocks above the water. Stay away from rock outcrops along the shoreline exposed to ocean waves…as waves can easily sweep people into the cold ocean water.

At 218 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Dowling Park, or 13 miles northwest of Mayo, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Locations impacted include… Live Oak, Dowling Park, Luraville, and Newburn.

SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Edwards AFB, Mojave, and North Edwards.
