At 717 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Lake Carolina, or 7 miles southeast of Springdale, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Camden, Lake Wateree Dam, Lugoff, Lake Carolina, Elgin, Goodale State Park, Blythewood, Ridgeway, Pine Grove Fire Station, Smallwood, North Towne Square Shopping Center, and Woodward Airfield. This includes the following highways… Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 89 and 103. Interstate 77 between mile markers 24 and 33.
