FFWMLB The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for… Southern Lake County in east central Florida… Southwestern Orange County in east central Florida… * Until 730 PM EDT. * At 556 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE…Radar. IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. *

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of east central Florida, including the following counties, Lake, Orange and Osceola. * WHEN…Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 540 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms.
