At 917 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms capable of producing funnel clouds near Gautier, or 9 miles southwest of Moss Point, moving north at 25 mph. HAZARD…Funnel clouds and winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…If a funnel cloud briefly touches down, minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… Ocean Springs, Moss Point, Escatawpa, Gautier, Wade, Hurley, Big Point, Vancleave, Gulf Park Estates, Hickory Hills, Helena, and Gulf Hills. This includes Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 54 and 70.

Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported a magnitude 4.6 quake in the Philippines near Pondaguitan, Davao Oriental, Davao, only 6 minutes ago. The earthquake hit late at night on Sunday, October 26th, 2025, at 10:05 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 96. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.6 earthquake as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Pondaguitan (pop. 2,100) located 109 km from the epicenter.
