Travel will be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A strong low and its front moves north into the Gulf of Alaska this morning, bringing strong easterly winds across Kodiak Island through early afternoon. Winds peak late morning and diminish through the evening. The strongest winds will be along the eastern coast and areas susceptible to easterly channeled winds. Moderate to heavy rain will also accompany the front with rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches likely.
