At 1 AM MST, areas of fog were developing from southern McKenzie County to the South Dakota border, including as far east as Hettinger. The fog will reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less, and may become more widespread by sunrise. Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing conditions and use extra caution traveling. Use low beam headlights and be extra cautious at intersections and railroad crossings.

Visibilities may drop below 1 mile due to moderate to heavy snowfall and blowing snow. Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snowfall rates up to 0.5 – 0.75 inch per hour at times today through tonight. The combination of falling snow and gusty winds will lead to reduced visibility.
