The Department of Biology and Biomedical Engineering (BBE) at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in Biomedical Engineering at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2026.

By the time of appointment, candidates must hold a Ph.D. in an engineering discipline, preferably biomedical, and show evidence of or demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. The ideal candidate will use evidence-based approaches to teach introductory biomedical engineering courses and upper-level electives in their area of expertise. While we encourage candidates in all biomedical engineering related fields to apply, experience in teaching and research in statics, mechanics of materials, biomechanics, and biomaterials is preferred.

PHILADELPHIA— The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will evaluate a Biennial Radiological Emergency Preparedness Exercise at the Limerick Generating Station. The exercise will occur on November 18, 2025 to assess the ability of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to respond to an emergency at the nuclear facility. 

“These drills are held every other year to evaluate government’s ability to protect public health and safety,” said Lilian Hutchinson, Acting Regional Administrator for FEMA Region 3. “We will assess state and local government emergency response capabilities within the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.” 

Within 90 days, FEMA will send its evaluation to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for use in licensing decisions. The final report will be available to the public approximately 120 days after the exercise. 

FEMA will present preliminary findings of the exercise during a public meeting at 11:30am on November 21, 2025. Planned speakers include representatives from FEMA and the NRC. The meeting will take place in-person at:

MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY’S DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING invites applications for a tenure-track position in mechanical engineering at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants with expertise in engineering mechanics are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a doctorate in mechanical engineering or related area. Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate (MS/PhD) courses in their area of specialization and establish an externally funded research program.
