The Opportunity

The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering (CECE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida, invites applicants for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure earning lecturer or associate lecturer position with an anticipated start date of August 8, 2026. The primary responsibility of the position is teaching undergraduate courses in civil engineering, including engineering science (e.g., Statics), core engineering (e.g., engineering economics), and transportation engineering (e.g., transportation analytics, urban systems design) courses. Secondary responsibilities include assessment related activities, service to the department, and may include teaching graduate courses in degree specialty to support the department. The selected candidate is expected to support the department’s teaching mission.

With more than 1,250 undergraduate and 200 graduate students, the CECE Department offers doctoral and master’s programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering, and ABET-accredited bachelor’s programs in Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering. Over 30
