The Francis College of Engineering (FCOE) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell) is searching for outstanding candidates for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Biomedical Engineering.  The position is anticipated to begin in September 2026.

UMass Lowell’s Department of Biomedical Engineering trains students to translate discoveries into real-world applications in the medical device and biotechnology industries through an ABET-accredited B.S. program—Massachusetts’ first at a public university—with specialized tracks in medical device development, cell and tissue engineering, and biomechanics. The Francis College of Engineering (FCOE) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UMass Lowell) invites applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor position in the Biomedical Engineering Department. The role is expected to start in September 2026. Teaching Professors play a vital role in developing and delivering curriculum within the FCOE and are actively involved in departmental, college, and university activities.
