Work description
Research and development of algorithms for analyzing signals acquired in real time by a system with integrated sensors, which will perform measurements, for example, of electromyography and inertial data. Objective and efficient feature identification and recognition of personalized patterns for integration into mobile applications for users to improve their performance. Collaboration on a research, development, and innovation project in the healthcare and textile sectors, to create smart clothing with physiological sensing. Collaboration with project partners in signal collection and database organization. Collaboration in the writing of scientific articles and work reports.

Student in Biomedical Engineering or related areas.

Minimum profile required
Proven experience in R&D work on electricity and renewable energy markets. Advanced knowledge (specialization) in power systems.

Experience in developing optimization problems and experience with GAMS software. Fluency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
Maintenance stipend: € 1040.98 or 1309.64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
