The College of Engineering, Applied Science & Technology at Weber State University is accepting applications for an assistant tenure track faculty position in a new Industrial Engineering program starting fall semester, 2026. The new Industrial Engineering program is an extension of the robust Mechanical Engineering department which offers baccalaureate degrees in energy engineering, mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology and an associate in pre-engineering. The selected individual will teach a variety of fundamental industrial engineering courses.

Job Duties:

Position Summary

The Snell Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral associate for an initial two-year term with potential extension depending on continuing funding to contribute to research in the area of protein level structural responses to low-dose radiation.

The position is intended for a motivated individual with a background in a molecular biology with additional experience or interest in structural biology. The Snell Laboratory collaborates closely with AI and classical machine learning developers, and the selected candidate should have expertise or an interest in acquiring expertise in AI and classical machine learning applications for structural biology.

Key responsibilities include:

Cloning, expression, and purification of target proteins and complexes.
Crystallization screening.
Data analysis using X-ray crystallography, neutron crystallography, and X-ray spectroscopy approaches.
Applying computational skills to support and collaborate on AI and classical machine learning initiatives.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering, Applied Science & Technology at Weber State University is accepting applications for an assistant tenure track faculty position starting fall semester, 2026. The department is planning to offer a Master degree in mechanical engineering with emphasis area in Aerospace & Structures. The ME department currently offers baccalaureate degrees in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering technology and an associate in pre-engineering. Selected individual will mostly teach a variety of Aerospace courses in mechanical engineering with some support teaching in the additional programs mentioned above.

Job Duties:

Service duties include program-building and advising, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, and university is expected. Required shared courses to be taught are: Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics, Advance Aerospace Propulsion and Advanced Compressible Flow.
