The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor (R0074417). The Assistant Professor will develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses and laboratories in the Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate may be required to teach in Mechanical Engineering Technology program. This is a nine-month, tenure-track position with an estimated start date of January 2026 or until filled. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Qualifications:  PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline (Degree must be from an accredited university). ABD may be considered; BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering; Demonstrated strong English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching engineering courses; Experience in teaching in a hybrid or on-line environment; Expertise in engineering software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, MATLAB; Post-doctoral or industrial experience; Experience in the use of Artificial Intelligence in research is
