HAZARDS…A lake effect snow band which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than a quarter of a mile. This lake effect snow band is producing extremely heavy snow at the rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. LOCATION AND MOVEMENT…At 927 AM EST, a lake effect snow band was over Dorset, or near Manchester moving east at 50 MPH. THIS LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND WILL BE NEAR… Manchester, Dorset, and Manchester Center around 930 AM EST. Londonderry around 940 AM EST. Saxtons River around 1000 AM EST. Bellows Falls around 1005 AM EST. This includes Interstate 87 between exits 16 and 20.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE…Steuben County. * WHEN…Until 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The highest snowfall totals are expected over portions of western and southern Steuben county. Localized snow totals up around 8 inches will be possible in the higher elevations of the southwestern Steuben county.
