At 1226 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5 miles southwest of Alamogordo, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Alamogordo, White Sands National Park, Holloman Air Force Base, Boles Acres, and Oliver Lee State Park. This includes the following highways… Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 188 and 205, and mile marker 207 and near mile marker 212. Highway 54 in New Mexico between mile markers 46 and 64.
