Locally dense fog will reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less in spots through the night. At the same time, many locations are near or even below the freezing mark. This may lead to slick spots on roads, especially bridges and overpasses, and on sidewalks. If traveling, be prepared for changes in visibility over a short distance, and also for a thin layer of ice that may be difficult to recognize. The fog will dissipate and visibility will steadily improve in the morning.
