Total snow accumulations 4 to 8 inches for the Anchorage Hillside and higher elevations. * WHERE…Anchorage Hillside. * WHEN…Until 6 AM AKST Friday. * IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel may be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday afternoon and Friday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow will fall during the afternoon commute and into the overnight hours, with the heaviest snow in the evening. Snow will taper off late tonight into early Friday morning. Please use caution while traveling.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Strong winds are now forecast to persist through early tomorrow morning. Though there will be a break in snowfall later this afternoon and evening, continued strong winds may loft transportable snow and maintain lower visibilities.
