These sneaker waves can also move large objects such as logs, crushing anyone caught underneath.

* WHAT…Visibility as low as one quarter mile in dense fog. * WHERE…Lower Columbia Basin of Washington. * WHEN…Until 10 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS…Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Areas of dense fog will cause rapid reductions in visibility. Portions of US-395, I-82 and I-182 amd SR-240 will be affected by dense fog.

Areas of dense fog, reducing visibility to 1/4 mile or less, will impact portions of the northern Foothills and Northwest Piedmont of North Carolina overnight. This will mainly affect the I-77 corridor. If traveling in this area, be prepared for poor driving conditions. Slow down and use low beam headlights if dense fog is encountered.
