Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. At 428 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles west of Toledo Bend Dam to Farrsville to near Town Bluff. Movement was south at 25 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Jasper, Newton, Kirbyville, Merryville, Toledo Bend Dam, Call, Bon Weir, Burkeville, Trout Creek, Farrsville, Magnolia Springs, Burr Ferry, Mayflower, Mt. Union, Jamestown, Roganville, Harrisburg, Junction, Stringtown, and Bleakwood.
