A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with the ability to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research and service. Seven (7) years of lecturing experience at under and post-graduate levels and/or relevant industry experience or an equivalent combination of pertinent professional experience. About AIMCardio Lab

Our lab focuses on fluid-structure interaction (computational and experimental) and its applications in cardiovascular health and medical device innovation. We collaborate with leading U.S. hospitals (e.g., Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Boston Children’s Hospital, UMass Chan Medical School) and top medical device companies (e.g., Abbott, Edwards Lifesciences, Boston Scientific, Medtronic).

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields

Experience with experimental flow visualization techniques (e.g., Particle Image Velocimetry – PIV)

Preferred Qualifications

Design and execute original experimental procedures Analyze and report experimental data; publish in high-impact journals Lead and mentor graduate and undergraduate students Contribute to grant writing (NIH, NSF) and industry collaborations Engage in innovation-driven projects with commercialization potential
