The Laboratory for Equine and Comparative Orthopedic Research (LECOR) has openings for graduate research assistants working toward the PhD degree with a concentration in regenerative medicine. The focus of the laboratory is comparative, translational stem cell research for treatment of pathology associated with aging, trauma, or development. Evaluation techniques include cellular molecular, genetic (RNA and DNA) and compositional analysis, histology, cell culture, biomechanical testing, kinetics, and kinematics. Additionally, design and implementation of medical devices is a key function in the laboratory.

As a graduate research assistant , you must enroll and remain a full-time student during the semesters you are supported by an assistantship. Overview:
The Biomedical Ultrasound Research Lab, led by Dr. Hsiao-Chuan Liu (Assistant Professor, UMass Amherst BME), is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate. The lab is physically based at UMass Chan Medical School and focuses on developing and translating advanced ultrasound imaging technologies to quantify tissue biomechanics. Current research emphasizes ultrasound shear wave elastography, wearable ultrasound imaging systems, and optical coherence elastography (OCE). The position encourages interdisciplinary collaboration between engineering, fundamental science and clinical domains.

Responsibilities:
