The current full time base salary range for this position is $63,500 – $70,700. “Off-scale” salaries, which yield compensation that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position duration: One year, with possibility of an extension depending on performance and availability of funding.

The Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park (www.aero.umd.edu) invites applications for one or more full time, tenure-track assistant professor position(s) in space exploration. Highest priority will be given to applicants who will utilize the unique experimental capabilities afforded by UMD’s Neutral Buoyancy Research Facility. Applicants will be expected to develop a strong research program and complementary to existing research capabilities.
