I am looking for two highly motivated Ph.D. students to join my research group at Louisiana State University Starting Spring or Summer 2026.

Focus areas:
Traffic safety and operation, ITS and applications of CAVs, multimodal mobility, and data-driven modeling.

Preferred Background:
• Masters in civil engineering.
• High GPA, GRE, and IELTS/TOEFL scores.
• Strong Background in Transportation Engineering and advanced statistical modeling.
• Strong background in coding (i.e., using Python) and microsimulation software (i.e., VISSIM).
• Priority will be given for candidates who already published paper(s) from their masters in peer reviewed journals.

Support: Graduate assistantships are available and include a stipend, tuition waiver, and health insurance.

This position involves working with an interdisciplinary team of world-class engineers, students, and scientists in the area of autonomous vehicles dynamics simulation. The Research Engineer is expected to lead and contribute to:

Support for Sound Simulation and Acoustical Modeling: Collaborate with the audio research team to integrate vehicle noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) analysis into real-time simulation platforms. Assist with collecting, processing, and managing vehicle telemetry data (e.g., RPM, torque, acceleration, terrain interaction) to drive dynamic sound models that accurately reflect vehicle states and environments.
