LEHIGH UNIVERSITY. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a specialization in computer engineering with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. 

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, computer architecture for AI, data centers, and emerging computation domains (e.g. quantum computing, biocomputing, etc.); computer hardware and systems security; AI and LLM reasoning for computer architecture, VLSI design, and EDA; intelligent IoT; embedded systems for AI, robotics, and other emerging applications; and emerging memory technologies.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an earned PhD in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related field by the date of employment.

The individual hired will be expected to teach courses in electrical and computer engineering at the graduate and undergraduate level, engage in scholarly activities, and participate in departmental, college, and university service. We seek dynamic and innovative candidates with a strong research record in quantum information science and engineering (QISE) who can build and sustain a nationally recognized, externally funded applied research program. While applications over a wide range of specialties in QISE are encouraged, the successful candidate will enhance or strategically complement ongoing efforts within the Engineering department, Department of Physics, and Data & Quantum Science Center at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
