Etna (Sicily, Italy): The explosive-effusive eruption at the volcano continues.
The summit eruption that started on 14 August resumes with two lava arms emerging from the fissure vents on the southern flank of the Southeast crater.
Strombolian explosions continue to generate lava bombs and emissions of ash.

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTED AT 20250824/1809Z FL060 STNR OBS VA DTG:24/1800Z
Ibu (Halmahera, Indonesia): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 and is moving at 15 kts in E direction.
