Patches of dense fog have developed across parts of the Lower Hudson Valley and interior Southern Connecticut this morning, especially along river valleys. Visibilities within the dense fog will be reduced to a quarter mile or less. This fog is expected to persist before 8AM and then decrease with daytime heating between 8AM and 9AM. Motorists within these locations this morning should proceed with extra caution and be prepared for rapid changes in visibility. Use low beam headlights and allow for extra space between vehicles.
