* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Brunswick and New Hanover. * WHEN…Until 1115 AM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways, particularly in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1009 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. * WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE…Santee River near Jamestown. * WHEN…From this afternoon to Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS…At 12.0 feet, several dirt logging roads are impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 930 AM EDT Sunday, the stage was 9.4 feet. – Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening, to a crest of 11.2 feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday morning. – Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
