Etna (Sicily, Italy): From the latest Sentinel-2 false color composite, the effusive eruption from the Southeast crater seems to have stopped.
In the attached GIF, the lava flow eruption from the flank vents halted on 2 September.

Kusatsu-Shirane (Honshu): The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that unrest activity increased at Kusatsu-Shiranesan between 2 September 2025 (local) and 3 September 2025 (local). The alert level at Kusatsu-Shiranesan remained at “Level 2 – Restriction on proximity to the crater” (on a 5-level scale).

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that the eruption continued at Suwanosejima between 1 September 2025 (local) and 3 September 2025 (local). The alert level at Suwanosejima remained at “Level 2 – Restriction on proximity to the crater” (on a 5-level scale).
