An earthquake of magnitude 4.9 occurred only 7 minutes ago 10 km northwest of Manay, Philippines, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate depth of 136. km beneath the epicenter near Manay, Davao Oriental, Davao, Philippines, early afternoon on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, at 3:08 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
