Etna (Sicily, Italy): The volcano is characterized by the continuous, elevated effusive-explosive eruption from the SE crater.
Multiple lava flows remain active on the southern flank, emerging from two effusive vents.

Kirishima (Kyushu): (29 Aug) The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that the eruption continued at Kirishimayama between 25 August 2025 (local) and 28 August 2025 (local). The alert level at Kirishimayama remained at “Level 3 – Restriction on proximity to the volcano” (on a 5-level scale). Ashfall was confirmed S of Shinmoedake Crater, resulting in ash deposits across Kirishima City, Kagoshima (22 km SSW), and Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki, which obscured road markings.
