Highest on west and northwest facing beaches. * WHERE…San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches. * WHEN…From 9 PM this evening to 3 AM PDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS…There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

At 413 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Baughville, or 8 miles west of Talbotton, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD…Tornado. SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include… Junction City, Baldwinville, Baughville, Olive Branch, Talbotton, Po Biddy Crossroads, and Geneva.
