HAZARD…Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph. SOURCE…Radar and webcams. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE…Sierra Madre Range and Snowy Range. * WHEN…Until 8 PM MST this evening. * IMPACTS…Outdoor recreation could become dangerous to those caught unprepared for hazardous winter conditions. Hunters and hikers may become disoriented and lost due to low visibility in falling and blowing snow. Areas of blowing snow could reduce visibility and lead to slick road conditions.
