Relative humidity values will be in the 20 to 25 percent range with gusty winds of 25 to 35 mph. The winds will diminish rapidly around sunset. Under these conditions, fires will start and spread easily. Please exercise caution with any activities that involve outdoor fires or create sparks, including campfires, grilling, and operating large equipment. Cigarettes should be disposed of and extinguished properly. Please heed any local burn bans.

This includes King Salmon, the Arcata Bottoms and areas right on the waterfront in Eureka. * WHEN…Wednesday morning. Additional flooding is possible Thursday morning. * IMPACTS…Several coastal roads may be closed. Low lying property and some critical infrastructure will be inundated. Overview: A low-level circulation (Invest 90W) is now centered near 9N145E after slow west-northwestward motion the past 24 hours and is now the subject of a Tropical Cyclone Formation Alert from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center. This means the formation of a tropical cyclone is likely within the next 24 hours. This system is expected to move northwest before turning west-northwest near or south of the Marianas.
