* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…A portion of southern Illinois, including the following counties, Alexander, Gallatin, Hardin, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline and Union. * WHEN…Until 1100 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed in the area. The worst flooding appears to be around the Cache River and Hubble Creek, but other smaller tributaries are also flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 522 PM CDT, Local law enforcement reported that flooding is ongoing in many locations through the warned area. At 618 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Clyde to 9 miles west of Bishopville to near Oakland. Movement was northeast at 60 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… Hartsville, Mont Clare, Florence, Mars Bluff, Lydia, Darlington Raceway, Swift Creek, Darlington, Cartersville, Florence Darlington Technical College Main Campus, Oats, Floyd, Quinby, North Hartsville, Carolinas Hospital System, Dovesville, Mcleod Regional Medical Center, Auburn, Francis Marion University, and Carolinas Hospital System – Cedar Tower. This includes the following highways… Interstate 20 between mile markers 125 and 141.
