An atmospheric river is moving toward the panhandle Saturday afternoon, and will persist into Sunday. This system will deliver heavy rainfall to the southern and central panhandle beginning Saturday afternoon and continuing through Sunday morning, with the greatest rainfall amounts across the southern panhandle. Rainfall rates taper off through Sunday afternoon. High wind gusts 60 to 70 mph are also expected Saturday night, with the highest wind gusts across the southern panhandle.
