At 925 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 10 miles south of Troy, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph, half inch hail and heavy rainfall SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Southern Pines, Carthage, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Whispering Pines, Pinebluff, Foxfire, Candor, Taylortown, and Norman. This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 32 and 46.
