Total snow accumulations of up to 11 inches possible. * WHERE…Klondike Highway, mainly above 2500 ft. * WHEN…From this evening through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow starts Wednesday evening and continues through Thursday. The snow level is expected to rise by Thursday morning to near White Pass and then lower through the afternoon. Snowfall rates may approach and inch an hour at times.

* WHAT…East winds 45 to 55 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected. * WHERE…Kodiak Island. * WHEN…Until 1 PM AKDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS…High winds may move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A strong low and its front moves north into the Gulf of Alaska this morning, bringing strong easterly winds across Kodiak Island through early afternoon. Winds peak late morning and diminish through the evening. The strongest winds will be along the eastern coast and areas susceptible to easterly channeled winds. Moderate to heavy rain will also accompany the front with rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches likely.
