The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported a magnitude 3.5 quake in Poland near Lubin, Lubin County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, only 4 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Monday, May 19th, 2025, at 5:46 am local time at a shallow depth of 10. km. Weak shaking might have been felt in Lubin (pop. 77,500) located 4 km from the epicenter, and Polkowice (pop. 21,600) 11 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Legnica (pop. 106,000) located 25 km from the epicenter, Glogow (pop. 67,300) 27 km away, Zlotoryja (pop. 15,600) 38 km away, Jawor (pop. 23,900) 42 km away, and Boleslawiec (pop. 40,700) 46 km away.
