An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 occurred only 10 minutes ago 50 miles north of Nyngan, New South Wales, Australia, Geoscience Australia (GeoAu) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 6.2 miles beneath the epicenter near Nyngan, Bogan, New South Wales, Australia, late at night on Monday, September 15th, 2025, at 11:05 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.8. A third agency, the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, reported the same quake at magnitude 3.8.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Nyngan (pop. 2,200, 50 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.

If you felt it, report it through our site or app right now!
