At 1031 PM EDT, Local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Chilhowie along Poplar Avenue, near Lee Highway. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen since 730pm. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area, as another band of showers and possibly thunderstorms moves in between 1035PM and 1115 PM. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 534 IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM MDT MONDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN SOUTH DAKOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA BUTTE HARDING PERKINS IN WEST CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA MEADE ZIEBACH THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BISON, BUFFALO, DOWNTOWN BELLE FOURCHE, DUPREE, FAITH, LEMMON, STURGIS, AND UNION CENTER. THIS INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE CHEYENNE RIVER RESERVATION.
