At 530 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Gainesville to near Prairie Mountain to near Doss. Movement was southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Kingsland, Llano, Buchanan Dam, Gainesville, Granite Shoals, Horseshoe Bay, Cherry Spring, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, Doss, Prairie Mountain, Oxford, Inks Lake State Park, and Sunrise Beach Village.

At 529 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall with rates up to 2-3 inches per hour near the Downers Grove, Darien, and Woodridge areas. Up to 3 inches of rainfall has fallen thus far. This area of heavy rainfall is moving slowly eastward toward the central Chicago Metropolitan Area.
