At 126 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Arizona Mills Mall, or near Tempe, moving north at 20 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Sun Lakes, Laveen, Mesa Riverview Mall, Tempe Marketplace, Papago Park, Arizona Mills Mall, Salt River Indian Community, Downtown Mesa, Tumbleweed Park, South Phoenix, Chandler City Hall, South Mountain Park, Downtown Phoenix, Arizona State University, and Fiesta Mall. This includes the following highways… AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 148 and 170. AZ Interstate 17 between mile markers 195 and 199.
