At 323 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles south of Dateland, or 41 miles northwest of Ajo, moving northwest at 10 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… Dateland and Mohawk. This includes AZ Interstate 8 between mile markers 56 and 72.

Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Dangerous shore break can throw a swimmer or surfer head first into the bottom causing neck and back injuries.
