France’s Military Applications Division – Earth and Environmental Science (CEA) reported a magnitude 3.0 quake in the United Kingdom near Portsmouth, England, only 22 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at 2:28 am local time at a shallow depth of 10. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage.
